FAQ
Two days ago I've noticed cockroaches in my apartment in the kitchen, and I'd like to know how I can get rid of them and do you deal with that?
Using the method of moist contact disinsection, so called sprinkling of the area where cockroaches were seen, that is, of the entire apartment, or by gelling the area.
The method of moist contact disinsection is used to treat surfaces that cockroaches walk upon, and the insecticide works when in contact with the animal causing the death of cockroaches once they walk across the treated area.
The gelling method uses small amounts of gel in the shape of water drops which are placed into crevices and slots in the area where cockroaches were seen and cockroaches feed on them and eventually die. The method is more practical and with long-term effect since the gel remains active for three months.
How long does it take for cockroaches to die following the disinsection procedure? Some of them are still alive even after five days.
Depending on the agents used, it may take several days to several weeks until they die if a product has residual (prolonged) acting. If you use a contact insecticide, then it takes effect very fast i.e. immediately.
You crew disinsected our company's premises against cockroaches five days ago. What do we have to do after the disinsection procedure and will they appear again? After the moist contact disinsection of the premises it is advisable to wash and dry the edges of the rooms that were treated with the insecticide as little as possible, and when live cockroaches are no longer seen, wash all of the sprinkled surfaces thoroughly as described in the Implementation Plan and the Service Completion Certificate that our field crew handed to you.
After 2-4 weeks females of the brown cockroach lay little packets of eggs from which larvae hatch, and after 1-2 months they develop into reproductively mature adults which are ready to multiply again.
Therefore, it is possible that you may notice new hatched larvae after 3 weeks and in that case the procedure must be repeated.
I need help with rats constantly coming out of the sewage in our building's courtyard where children play, among other things. What can be done?
The problem may be solved by placing paraffin rodenticide baits into the sewage, by tying it to a string and lowering it just above the water so that rodents and water cannot take it off. Tied to the sewage lid in such a manner, the baits will be out of reach of children and accessible and constantly at display for rodents.
In our building pigeons flew in through the unprotected opening of the boiler room. As they couldn't fly out, the room is now full of their faeces and dead pigeons. Can you help and how?
It is necessary to perform rough cleaning and to remove dead pigeons and dispose of them in a designated specialised waste disposal facilities. After that it is necessary to perform rough disinfection, dampen all surfaces with a disinfection agent, and clean it again thoroughly.
Only after the room has been thoroughly cleaned, and as a final round of disinfection, the room is sprayed with a solution of a specialised disinfection agent or fogged, depending on what's inside it.
We advise you to fit spikes onto the opening of the boiler room to prevent pigeons from landing onto it and dwell there, and a net so that they cannot fly into the room again.
Since I live in Dalmatia which has been faced with an invasion of snakes lately, and they invaded my courtyard as well, I would like to ask you for information on your snake repellent products. I'm interested in both mechanical obstacles and chemical agents.
Among the chemical agents available on the market there is a product intended for professional use that we use when driving snakes out of surfaces by means of repellents when needed.
According to our experience, the product proved effective when there are no precipitations, since it is based on a smell that repels snakes. It is possible to make an obstacle in the shape of a ''strip'' that encircles the area in which we do not wish snakes to enter and to repeat this procedure every three weeks, i.e. after precipitations. As far as we know, mechanical barriers do not exist.
